What can I say? This series may be short but it's sweet and I love it. The characters are adorable and amusing, and the artwork is well done. I like that it's the closest I've found to a "regular romance manga" but turned into a yuri. The plot isn't deep dark or complex, but it's nice to have a series where the yuri isn't masked or hidden away in the background.

I told DT I was going to reread this sometime. Still have to get to that. As I recall it was a wonderful fluffy piece of work ^^though I didn't think it was anything overly awesome at the time.

Well no it wasn't overly awesome, there'd need to be fantasy and magic action and people killing each other for that XDD BUT for fluff, this is adorable and really nice to read. You can't not smile when reading it. Julia makes me laugh so hard, but she really does care and is just all "She's hawt! I want in her pants!" while at the same time being an amusing perv LOL It's a nice balance in her character.

Methinks that maybe it's just a coincidence that the author's given name is "Shizuru"... Rolling Eyes

...well, actually, I DON'T think it's a coincidence, as far as its popularity is concerned. Smile

I thought it was an awesome manga, and it still remains as one of my favorites to this day. Strawberry Shake definitely lacks when it comes to drama and discussion of social issues overall, but it was nonetheless good as a slapstick comedy.

My fav character is definitely the manager, Saeko. She is probably the closest thing to a straight character in the story as well as the sole voice of reason.

Have you read Hayate x Blade yet? Same author, mildly yuri, VERY funny.

Oh yeah, I've been reading it off and on but since it's ongoing I tend to leave it alone for a long time, then go back to it and read a bunch of chapters at once. I do love it though and we should probably get a thread going for it.
