What, I'm not allowed to think that a hydra is cute? And she definitely knows how to make an entrance! (And bakes a mean birthday cake, but that's neither here nor there...)

Hmmm...it's hard to say, really; I wouldn't think of Shizuru as "serpentine," per se, and the Kiyohime myth doesn't quite match, as Natsuki didn't really scorn Shizuru's affection (or indeed, only rejected it during the confrontation with Haruka and Yukino). They both like purple, though!

It's freaking Gakutenou! What's not to like? It's also fun to say ,unlike a lot of the other Child's names.

Of course. Like it's Hime counterpart, it's headstrong, but it has a few tricks up its sleeve as well.

Because of Gaku's abilities. It can fly in the air up to the speed of sound, can be used as a chariot with its own lance, and has a whirlwind attack. Is has three different forms if you count the ones from the manga! THREE!! =D

Plus it just looks plain awesome and is Midori's Child.

Yeah, I think Gakutenou matches Midori pretty nicely. XD Midori is into sentai stuff, so the fact that her Child can transform is definitely something that matches for them both. XD

Giant flying whale-phoenix of doom! And he's so cuuute! The little chirpy noises he makes when he's 'talking' to Mai are adorable. Badarse + adorable = combination full of win.

Um, not sure really. I suppose in some sense, Mai has a fiery temper, and Kagutsuchi does lose control in battle a few times, but I don't really see them as being similar other than having shared goals.

FIRE! But seriously, Kagutsuchi is badass. And huge.

Not really. Kagutsuchi is very headstrong and the type to flamebreath first and ask questions later.

He's a wolf that starts out normal size, but thanks to Natsuki's Development, later becomes the size of a Voltron lion. A wolf the size of a Voltron lion, with built-in artillery guns, and loadable shells.
That's all-but over-the-top Awesome!

I think so; Duran doesn't win every fight, but he doesn't quit, like Natsuki.
Duran doesn't seem to blush at the drop of a hat, but maybe we should ask Kiyohime for details...

Yep, it does. A lot of people think wolves are solitary animals, which any wolf enthusiast would know is far from the truth, and that kind of mirrors how most people see Natsuki as unapproachable whereas Shizuru a Natsuki enthusiast can see that she's just as much a pack animal as a wolf is.
Not going to mention the ice theme because that's obvious. So is the wolf thing but hey - I had to have something to write.
