Pokemon series!

If you're part of my generation, chances are you were either a pokemon fan or a digimon fan. I happened to fall into the former category. I just recently reset one of my games after watching the beginning of a walkthrough to the pokemon game (the power of suggestion is scary). I know theres a couple more pokemon fans on this site because I've sat through their pokemon rambles and was able to keep up. XD

Here you're free to talk about anything pokemon related from any generation. I have a few questions to help get us started: (remember, these questions came be answered from any generation; multiple generations if you have a preference from each)

Houndoom. No question. Houndoom is freaking awesome. Mismagius would probably be a close second.

Have to go old school and say Bulbasaur.

Blue
Were you into the card game?
For some period of time, yes.
Did you watch the TV series?
For an even shorter period of time.
Your dream team?
I'm using an all fire time at the moment, but my last real main team was Nidoking, Meganium, Houndoom, Scizor, Kabutops, and Dragonite.

Aggron!

First gen: Charmander
Second gen: Totodile
Third gen: Mudkip
Fourth gen: Turtwig
Fifth gen: Tepig

Pokemon Crystal

I only collected them and then sold them when I got the cartridge.

Yup. Currently making my way through the series at the moment.

I don't really have one, although it always has Aggron.

Were you into the card game? Yeah! My school mates and I traded
and played all the time. I even had a holographic Charzard, but it was
German so I couldn't read it. XD And then the movers in Hawaii stole the
binders with all my cards in them so I can't sell them for money. -_-

Did you watch the TV series? I watched the first season TV
series... up to a point. I remember Ash battling Sabrina, but I've never
seen episodes past that. =/ (I wanted to see Blaine's Arcanine! T_T) I
should try to at least finish the first season some day.

Your dream team?
Arcanine, Krookodile, Mightyena, Feraligator, Luxay, Zoroack

New pokemon game is coming out, but it's not a traditional pokemon game.
This one is mixed in with another series, a crossover, and will
apparently take place in feudal Japan (and you start with an Eevee).



The gameplay looks a lot like Final Fantasy Tactics or the Disgaea
series. I really like that type of style, and there are more 3DS games
that're coming out that look good, so if it's released in the states, I
might look into getting it and a 3DS. =)

I've read some of the manga, but I fell out of it. All I remember reading from it is seeing Arbok literally chopped in half by a Charmeleon. o-o;

New Pokemon Black/White 2 animated trailer! Graphs are better than the actual cartoon. o-o Lots of familiar faces if you've played B/W, but all of them are grown up now. Also! It's been revealed that you can't obtain first-generation pokemon in this game like Eevee and Growlithe! <333 It's going to be on the DS, not the 3DS. /is sold

Favorite starter pokemon? A very hard choice between Totodile and Charmander. I will have to go with Charmander though, since it was the original and therefore the best.

Were you into the card game? Briefly. Made a lot of money out of those cards.
Did you watch the TV series? Yus. Currently going on a trip down memory lane by downloading and rewatching them as we speak.

Haxorus, Druddigon, Hydreigon, Dragonite, Gyarados and Garchomp.

I think I got Red and Blue at the same time, but Red was probably the first I played considering it's my favourite colour.

Hell yes! I've got loads of those suckers lying around somewhere still, although I never really traded with anyone. My Dad and I used to play with them (he played Pokemon Stadium with me too <3). ^_^

Did you watch the TV series?
Eeeeeeeyup! I used to watch it pretty regular but then it was just casually tuning in. I think I stopped watching them while Ash was in the Orange Islands.

Your dream team?
This is so hard to decide. XD; In the games I like to have a team of mixed types, but I'm going to answer as if it was in real life.
Cubone, Rapidash, Manectric, Charizard, Ampharos and Feraligatr.

Only Arcanine and Mew are part of the first 151 in that list. The others are part of the second generation of games.

And I only know those other ones because I just recently purchased Pokemon White. Otherwise I only know Red/Blue and Black/White.

Like I said before, I'm playing Pokemon Conquest and my Eevee turned into a Glaceon. =_= I'm not a fan of Glaceon (or Leafeon), but then I saw how much of a type-advantage I've got over dragon types, which is the last gym/kingdom, so I'm pretty pumped about that. =P I much prefer Umbreon or Jolteon, though. =/

What're your guy's favorite eeveevolutions?

I'm playing White Version, trying to get a black/white trainer card. =__=
