Murder Princess
Murder Princess is an anime/manga where two women from completely different sides of society switch bodies and have to protect a small kingdom from being taken over. The two women are Alita, a princess of the kingdom and Falis, the strongest bounty hunter in the world. It sounds like a really simple plot, and it is, but it's a really interesting ride the whole way through the series and is a favorite of mine. Not to mention: subtext abounds! But I put this topic in goggles just to be safe. =P
It's short, only six episodes and/or two manga volumes, but it's definitely worth a shot.

I will note that the manga has pretty much zero subtext, unlike the anime where there's quite a bit. On the other hand, I find the manga story is much tidier, and I love the end line about how the people of Forland would just laugh...

Yeah, the anime is VERY subtexty. Liked it a lot too.

Yeah, most of the subtext came from the anime, and believe me, I was pleasently surprised. XD I read the manga first before watching the anime; the anime downplays the fighting a bit and focuses on character interaction.
