Pretty much. She suffered badass-drecay in the final arch, but gained that back

Yes.

Well enough I suppose.

Nao and Midori.

Midori

Because it's Midori. ... Yeah, I don't describe the sheer awesomeness that is Midori in one small section. None of you want to see me ramble on about her. XD

3. What was your first impression of this character?
I didn't really like her as a waitress and I found her kind of annoying in that role. Boy did I get a wrong first impression. <3

4. Are they one of your favorite character throughout all the Mai-Series anime?
Most definitely. The reason I watched all of Otome was because of Midori. Didn't really care for Otome otherwise.

5. Do you feel that the Mai-HiME anime did this character justice?
Well, she could do with some backstory... Otherwise yeah, they did her character justice. ^^

My second favorite is Yukariko and my third favorite is Haruka.

Kuga Natsuki

2. Why did you vote for them?
Natsuki has a lot of depth as a character and she's not just one-dimensional. She's soft, loyal, intelligent, feminine and a total badass.

3. What was your first impression of this character?
That she was very goal-oriented and had a one-track mind, to the point of being blind sometimes.

4. Are they one of your favorite character throughout all the Mai-Series anime?
Yes.

5. Do you feel that the Mai-HiME anime did this character justice?
Most definitely.

Shizuru and Nao.

Yuuki Nao

2. Why did you vote for them?
I loves me a good anti-hero in mah stories, and Nao pretty much fits that to a tee. She is not a hero, and if she is, she is a self-serving, begrudging hero who is driven by nothing more than to protect the person closest to her.

I like the fact that she has issues. That the trauma in her early childhood has shaped her into a not-so-nice person, and yet, underneath it all, she's still just a scared little girl trying to act tough.

Plus she's snarky. I loves some snark with my anime.

3. What was your first impression of this character?
Her main introduction had me hooked because her actions were very odd for a teenage girl. Wanted to know more.

4. Are they one of your favorite character throughout all the Mai-Series anime?
Absolutely yes.

5. Do you feel that the Mai-HiME anime did this character justice?
Mostly. Until the magical reset button with everyone happy and not emotionally scarred.

4. Are they one of your favorite character throughout all the Mai-Series anime? indeed! you are right! natsuki kruger is actually my favourite character in the mai-series.

hur, i would make an anime with natsuki as the main main main-est character, but y'know, i'll settle for whatever the air time the anime gave her.

hmmmmm........ shizuru! nao! (i know... so predictable...).
oh wait. hold on. i'm thinking of mai otome as i answer this. if we're talking JUST mai hime, it would be... shizuru, and reito. i like nao in otome- still snarky, but with less issues.

as for shizuru... well. everyone has their own opinion about what makes her tick. but she's also 1) hot, but in a different way from natsuki 2) contradictory, which makes her character and actions intriguing.

Because while I adore Natsuki:
1) She's just a leetle too stereotypical
2) I had the (correct) feeling she was gonna get 44,000 votes anyway
3) Girls who are uncontrollably passionate (and better endowed than the Ford Foundation!) are Supa-Hawt, y'know? ;þ
4) No powers; kicked a tank. TWICE.
5) No other character makes me wish the technology existed so I could have her/his love-child. She's just that Hawt!

3. What was your first impression of this character?
At first, I snickered, because she was clearly clueless, and overreacting. Then she indirectly kisses Mai by teacup, and I realized no one's that clueless, she's just that bold...DROOL!

4. Are they one of your favorite character throughout all the Mai-Series anime?
Oh, yeah. I'm not as impressed with Armitage, but...she's soooo Hawt, I don't care!

5. Do you feel that the Mai-HiME anime did this character justice?
No, I want to see a slice-of-life of her day. And backstory. And an explanation of why she's always getting in the bushes to check folks out.
And an application to be on the Executive Committee.

My second favorite is Natsuki (swimsuits give her an unfair advantage), and third is Nao; "Chicks With Attitude" must be acknowledged!

3. What was your first impression of this character? I didn't really think too much of her until a few weeks ago. I was fixated on Shizuru for the longest time only to conclude Youko is just as sexy and coy as Shizuru without the overprotective/psycho-ness.

4. Are they one of your favorite character throughout all the Mai-Series anime?Hmm...Mostly at the begninning of Mai-hime and Otome but I think she really only makes brief appearances then.

5. Do you feel that the Mai-HiME anime did this character justice? Not really, It would have been nice to see her more with Midori/handling Midori.

Being feminine and being female are not nearly the same thing. And Takumi trumps Tate and Reito in both femininity AND likeability.

'Cause she can be a badass even without her powers (moreso in the Otome manga), is an artist, and I like seeing her come to terms with her girlier side after pretending to be a dude for so long.

Yeah, though I want to punch Otome for only giving her one episode.

The HiME anime did for sure, though because she's my favorite, I wish I could've seen her more. I also wish she got to fight a bit more- her loss was necessary, but I still wish she could been awesome for a bit longer.

Nao, 'cause she's a sexy beast, and Midori because she is crazy and the best teacher ever.

Because... It's Nao! She's such a delightfully sympathetic antagonist and I just wanted to hug the Hell out of her whenever she was on the screen.

My future wife. And I was 15 when I first watched Mai-HiME so this isn't creepy at all.

Yes. Nao never lets me down.

Hopefully you're not asking me this in relation to the manga. I don't think the manga did anything any justice at all. How could the anime be so awesome and the manga be so cliche/generic/like a shitty harem?
