Favorite Couple from K-on?

Just finished watching season one. Anyway, I was wondering who you would consider your favorite possible couple from the series, and why?

Oddly, I kind of ship Mio/Nodoka. She seems the only normal person Mio can turn to, and they bond a bit in the manga. Less in the anime, but some there too.

Surprisingly, my yuri flags don't go off in K-ON. I'm not sure why, I just don't see anyone as a couple; only friends. *shrugs*

I, boringly enough, ship Mio and Ritsu.

I love their relaxed and easygoing dynamic, and keep finding my yuri goggles on when I watch that series.

That said, I think they work really well as friends too.

(Aside: Is it just me, or does anyone else hate the term, 'just friends' as much as me? Doesn't it seem like it's diminishing an important relationship just because it's not romantic or sexual? D:)

Mio and Ritsu make a lot of sense. I just don't see what could push them from 'friends' to 'in love.'

I did like when Ritsu thought Mio's lyrics were a love letter.

I mostly agree with Alaeri on this one; although I haven't watched the anime I've read all four volumes of the manga and the only time I got any yuri pinging (outside of Mugi-vision, since she's clearly a yuri fangirl) was in the chapter in Vol. 4 when the girls thought Ritsu had a boyfriend and Mio was especially distraught by it. Any other time I really just see them as close friends.

i spent about a week earlier this year reading mio/ritsu fanfiction.

then i got done with it... there isn't any UST in that pairing, or at least, not enough to make intriguing fanfics.

Dezo is now my new best friend. I've never met anyone else that has my views about yuri in K-ON ;__;b

I actually don't think anyone in K-ON really is more than friends. However, I like shipping girls together in anything I watch/read/play and K-ON just makes it soooooo easy to imagine XD. Anything with an all girl cast makes it easy.

I like shipping Mio/Ritsu because I like the whole childhood friend histroy they have. Taking care of each other when they're sick and stuff, it's cute. I do agree though that realistically there's not enough lust in the series as a whole (cause it's not what it's about) to make for really good fanfics or something.
